Whereas the aim of WiN, as a world-wide not-for-profit organization for professional women working in the various fields of nuclear energy and radiation applications, is to contribute to the knowledge and experience of its members.
Activities include networking, a quarterly members’ newsletter and hosting public communications and mentoring programs. WiN Global currently has around 25,000 members including national chapters’ members and individuals from 107 countries including international and regions. WiN Global has over 30 national, regional and international chapters throughout the world, and is still growing. Membership includes women and men working professionally in medicine and health care, in regulatory authorities, in industry and as independent researchers. The members have a common commitment to provide information and communicate with the public.
La Société Française d’Energie Nucléaire is the French knowledge hub for nuclear energy. Created in 1973, This not-for-profit organization brings together 4 000 professionals, engineers, technicians, chemists, doctors, professors and students from industrial sites and from the French nuclear research organizations. The SFEN publishes the professional and technical review: Revue Générale Nucléaire.
FORATOM is the Brussels-based trade association for the nuclear energy industry in Europe. FORATOM acts as the voice of the European nuclear industry in energy policy discussions with EU Institutions and other key stakeholders. The membership of FORATOM is made up of 15 national nuclear associations and two corporate members. We provide information and expertise on the role of nuclear energy, producing position papers and responses to public consultations, as well as organising regular networking events such as dinner debates, workshops, and one-on-one meetings.
