Agnes is Head of Nuclear Safety and Security at the Rwanda Atomic Energy Board (RAEB), where she leads the development of Rwanda’s nuclear safety framework in preparation for an SMR-based power plant and a Center for Nuclear Science and Technology. She holds a Master’s in Nuclear Power Plant Engineering from KINGS (South Korea) and a BSc in Chemistry from the U.S. Air Force Academy. A recipient of the Schlumberger Faculty for the Future scholarship, the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship, and the KINGS Fellowship Award, Agnes has published research on radioactive waste safety and also served as a part-time teaching assistant at KINGS’ Radiation Protection Laboratory during her master’s program. She is passionate about advancing nuclear science and shaping Rwanda’s nuclear future projects.
