Professor Yahya Tayalati is an internationally acclaimed physicist specializing in high-energy and astroparticle physics, with impactful contributions to major experiments such as ATLAS at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, as well as to ANTARES the first underwater neutrino telescope in the Mediterranean Sea and KM3NeT, its successor. His research spans detector development, neutrino physics, and the study of rare quantum phenomena, including light-by-light scattering.
He is the recipient of multiple prestigious awards, including the Mustafa Prize (2021), the TWAS-AREP Award (2022), the AFESD Fellowship (2021) and the Scopus Award for Scientific Excellence (2022).
Professor Tayalati is also a member of several distinguished science academies, including The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), the African Academy of Sciences and the Islamic Academy of Sciences (Honorary Fellow).
