Take part to the 2016 edition of the international symposium Atoms for the Future!
Registration for the 6th edition of Atoms for the Future is now open! Make sure you are part of this international event on nuclear industry. Organized by the French Nuclear Society (“SFEN”) Young Generation Network, the event will take place during 4 days, from June 27th to June 30th.
« Atoms for the Future has become the annual meeting of the students and young professionals from the nuclear field » explains Sophie MISSIRIAN, chairwoman of the SFEN Young Generation, « Participating to this event will develop your general knowledge of the nuclear sector but also make you build a network with participants coming from all over the world and working in different fields and companies. »
It is a unique opportunity to develop its general knowledge on nuclear during the lectures and panel sessions; the opportunity to exchange on future challenges and their solutions with, among others, Jean-Marc JANCOVICI, President of the think tank The Shift Project, Philippe KNOCHE, CEO of AREVA, Etienne DUTHEIL, Head of the LTO project at EDF, and also Nicolas DEVICTOR, Head of Gen IV program at CEA.
It is also an optional day of technical visits giving a rare opportunity to visit amazing facilities: the construction site of the EPR at Flamanville, EDF CHOOZ NPP (one reactor under dismantling and one 1450MWe under operation, nuclear waste repositories of ANDRA, and the well-known construction site of ITER. To take part to one of these visits, participants must register before May 22.
It is of course the opportunity to meet young professionals through networking activities and a networking event on Monday evening. The previous editions have gathered participants coming from a dozen different countries: China, Great-Britain, Poland, Sweden, India, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, South Africa…
It is eventually a free access to the World Nuclear Exhibition taking place in Paris le Bourget from June 28th to June 30th. This event will welcome more than 700 exhibitors and 10 000 visitors. « Progress is at the forefront of the nuclear industry’s concerns and we’re forging ahead, innovating all the time » comments Gérard Kottmann, President of WNE.
